Job Vacancies

Carters Green Healthcare Services are currently looking to employ the following candidates:

Responsible to: Team Leader, Care Coordinator, and Register Manager.

Main aim of the Job

  • We aim to promote independence, dignity and respect whilst providing the highest quality of care for our service users within their own home. We encourage our service users to remain able to control their own lives, make choices and decisions.

Skills

  • Good communication skills, this will include service users that may have some communication difficulties. Communication with both management and other health professionals.
  • To be able to perform personal care tasks necessary for day-to-day living.
  • Good housekeeping skills

Key Responsibilities

  • To follow the package of care as outlined in the service users personal centred care plan
  • To provide the care and support outlined in the service users personal centred care plan
  • To always ensure the safety of your service user and others
  • To always ensure safe working practice when handling equipment
  • To ensure that you work to the company’s policies and procedures, guidance and training

Key objectives

  • Ensure that you arrive to your calls/shifts at the scheduled time
  • Ensure your work is completed to a high standard and provided according to our service users person centred care plan
  • To carry out calls/shifts to support service users with their daily living needs which will include dressing, undressing, washing/shower/bathing, toileting, mobility, and domestic duties for example bed making, ensuring home is safe, secure, clean, and tidy.
  • Manage and administer medication
  • Accurately record the time you arrive and leave on work schedules/rota, and in our service user daily care notes.
  • Record the work that you have undertaken, service users’ condition. To provide as much information in detail.
  • Record any concerns and/or changes to your care coordinator as soon as possible.
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Maintain the highest standard of personal hygiene and integrity
  • Wear the uniform that is provided and ensure that it is freshly laundered and in good condition
  • Ensure that all money spent in shopping by producing receipts and record all transactions on forms provided
  • Attend training and courses provided by the company
  • To take care of personal health and safety, as outlined in the company’s health and safety policy
  • Attend supervisions, appraisals, and staff meetings

 

All care staff may at times be asked to carry out additional tasks that are not listed above and requested by their care coordinator or the registered manager.

Desirable
